Dr Natasha Vavrek GP, clinical lead for this online, structured course for clinicians says, "It is so rewarding for me to hear that the course is being rated highly by GP participants and Nurses." One GP wrote "10/10" for all aspects of the content and delivery.
The learning is being chosen by nurses too, who work with women through the life stages. "If a health practitioner sees the clinical outcomes as relevant to their continuing professional development", says Colette Mckiernan, who creates the learning online, "it is something they can count towards their compulsory hours of upskilling."
"The Vagenius course has given me the confidence to integrate knowledge into practice and create comprehensive, individualised care plans for patients navigating oestrogen deficiency, fertlity changes, and long-term risks to bone, cardiovascular, and mental health." States Linda, a nurse practitioner working in a rural location, "offering a holistic approach to care and highlighting the valuable role of a multidisciplinary team in supporting women through this stage of life.
Women, trans and gender diverse people often see their GP leading up to and during menopause. Being upskilled in latest evidence-based menopause care is one way to ready to offer education around a range of important issues that can impact later in life, like bone-health, mental health, bladder and bowel, nutrition and more.
