Last month Primary Health Tasmania offered scholarships for Tasmanian GPs to upskill using the Vagenius Training course, Persistent Pelvic Pain - Leadership in Care. This online, self-paced, modular learning program has been developed here in lutruwita/Tasmania.

After release of the scholarships, 67 GPs applied within the first three days. Primary Health Tasmania is looking into funding more places before the applications close at the end of April.

GPs who do this training will learn about persistent pelvic pain and endometriosis. The Persistent Pelvic Pain course was recommended to colleagues by 100% of the first cohort's participants who completed their training in December 2024. Many of these GPs commented that they appreciated having a 'more structured pathway', and taht they felt 'empowered' and 'less overwhelmed' after completing the course.
