Sydney was lit up for its Vivid Festival this weekend. Thanks to the work of the World Endometrosis Society's committee, this massive gathering of like minded warriors was amazing.
The World Congress on Endometriosis is the world stage for research, studies and treatments. Colette from Vagenius Training was overwhelmed with the interest and support for its General Practitioner Training. 'It looks like our persistent pelvic pain course, has met an identified gap found in many of the studies', she says, 'which calls for more training for GPs, as the key person who can get the ball rolling and provide immediate validation and action.' Latest evaluation data shows that the course provides a comprehensive, structured and pragmatic approach, 'GPs who are interested in learning more, are upskilled in just 10.5hrs, to manage this really well in primary care.
Data from our second cohort of GPs, will show they are more confident and competent in managing and treating persistent pelvic pain after completing our course. Dr Emily Ware and Rachel Andrew attended as delegates, and helped on the Vagenius booth, to answer questions from visiting clinicians. Go Vagenius!
